Born in Hong Kong, grew up in California, United States, Billy is the Creative Director for Hollywood’s top pre-production studio, The Third Floor, Inc., Billy has worked with some of the most well-established directors both in Hollywood and in China over the years.

 

He’s worked very closely with famous directors including James Wan, Tim Miller, Chloé Zhao, Genndy Tartakovsky, Roland Emmerich, Sarah Smith, Chen Sicheng, Frant Gwo, Han Han, and Guo Jingming, etc., They all have their own unique styles, and Billy has picked up a few tricks from everyone of them. Aside from learning from these directors, having to hands-on creating shots for varieties of films has also trained Billy to put on different creative hats on different types of projects and stories, ranging from actions flicks such as “FAST & FURIOUS 7”, to sci-fi films such as “AQUAMAN”, “WANDERING EARTH”, WARRIORS OF FUTURE”, “MOON MAN”, etc., to animated features such as the “HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA” series, to even dramas such as “HI,MOM”, which boxed US$850 million from a RMB 380 million budget in 2021.
